We are immensely thankful to the compassionate and dedicated Medical and Nursing Staff at Regal Heights Nursing Home in Woodside for the exceptional care they provided to Bridie during her seven years with them.
A special thanks to Bridie’s cherished friends, especially Doris, Shirley, and the Lehane, Devaney’s, Doherty’s, Ward and McMenamin families, whose kindness and support meant the world to her. 
We are also deeply grateful to Gary Henderson for his frequent visits and for overseeing Bridie’s funeral arrangements and return to Ireland.
We are deeply appreciative of all of Bridie’s friends in the U.S.A. who attended her wake at Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home on Sunday, September 22nd, and to the clergy of Saint Sebastian’s Church in Woodside for officiating.
Our deepest thanks to Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home for their invaluable support during Bridie’s wake in New York and for handling the arrangements for her final journey home to Ireland.
We are also grateful to Gerard McCool Undertakers in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, for bringing Bridie home to her final resting place in  Kilteevogue Cemetery Glenfin, County Donegal and to Mary Henderson for coordinating and liaising with everyone. 
Our sincere thanks to Father Kieran McAteer for celebrating Bridie’s funeral mass, and to Fr. Kieran and Fr. Vincent for leading the Rosary in the Chapel of Rest. We deeply appreciate all who paid their respects, attended the wake, and shared in the celebration of Bridie’s life.
To everyone who contributed to Bridie’s funeral mass, we are truly thankful for making it such a special and memorable occasion.

I will always remember my Aunt Bridie for her elegance and style, her zest for life, her kindness, and the love she shared with family, friends, and neighbors.

I fondly recall the airmail letters she sent from New York, written on that thin, lightweight blue paper. Each letter was a single sheet that folded into a self-contained envelope, sealed at the edges with only the address visible. The envelope had pre-printed red and blue borders, designed for international mail. Every inch of that paper was filled with news—updates about her work and social life, and reflections on the politics of the day, like the Vietnam War and the anti-draft protests of the mid-1960s.

When she came home on holidays, she often stayed with my parents, her brother Dan and my mother Mary. She was always an early riser, and the breakfast table was immaculately set every morning, as early as 6:00 a.m. China cups, saucers, sugar bowl, milk jug, teapot—the works. For breakfast, our humble home transformed into the Ritz Hotel.

Rest in peace, Aunt Bridie.

A beautiful soul and treasured friend and family member  to the Devaney’s  , Doherty’s , Wards and Mc Menamins who reside in New Jersey 💚🙏. We all loved auntie Bridie who was our mother’s , Anne Devaney nee Doherty from  Corraine Ballybofey  , dearest friend since school days !! We All loved Bridie So much and wish her eternal rest and peace in heaven w our mum and Da who I can still hear laughing with her every time she came to stay in Emerson . The list of cousins and children she helped look after is long and we all send our love to all her family and friends . God Bless you my dear and Thank You ThankYou Thank you for all the joy and peace you brought our family !! Big Jack and Anne in heaven , Jack , Michael , Elizabeth and Regina . We love you Bridie and will always have you in our hearts 💕 xo

Auntie Bridie has always been a part of our family since we moved to New York. She loved to spend time in Tarrytown NY with us and especially enjoyed being around our two boys. When our youngest was born Bridie made sure she was there to offer a helping hand. Not only was she amazing with children, she was also a great dog walker and cat minder. She loved to take off for morning walks with our dog and was also known for allowing the cat into the bed!!! We will miss her many funny stories from her days as a nanny, but mostly her kindness and generosity. Rest in peace Auntie Bridie 🙏💚

Sincere condolences to the McMenamin family.  May Bridie Rest in Peace.  A lovely lady.

August 2017, visiting Aunty Bridie with my daughter, Asha. Even though her memory was fading she remembered Asha. She was her usual lively, fun self.

I met Aunt Bridie through my sister Marie who married her nephew Daniel Morrissey,  and who never missed visiting  her whenever they came to  New York City. Though we met only a few times, at times with Daniel ‘s sister  for dinner in Manhattan, she left  a lasting impression with me! Coming to the US at a tender  young age and  settling  in New York City, she  was an epitome of a true immigrant. To me she was a charming and vibrant woman with a ready  smile and a kind hearted soul, warm and sincere and yet behind that happy face is a fierce
woman , a survivor who  struggled against odds till she got herself  nicely established  in the new country. My only regret was that  we never  followed up on those times we said , “  we would go for a cup of tea or coffee” ! Aunt Bridie will  be in our thoughts and prayers! You are going home to Donegal now Aunt Bridie!  Rest  in peace!
