Concetta "Tina" Fruscella

Concetta “Tina” Fruscella, 97, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York. She was born on November 20, 1928, in Montagano, Province of Campobasso, Italy, to Giovanni Fruscella and Maria Giuseppe Pryioniera.

Tina was a woman of strong character and an even bigger heart. She was deeply loyal and generous to her friends and loved ones and, throughout her life, welcomed many people into her heart as family. She was also a generous supporter of charities benefiting cancer research, animal rescue, children, and other causes close to her heart.

Tina loved to cook and was a wonderful host. Her home was always open to friends and loved ones, and she enjoyed sharing a good meal, conversation, and a bottle of wine with her guests. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, generosity, love of cooking and entertaining, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Tina never married and had no children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Maria, and her brothers, Antonio and Joseph Fruscella.

She leaves behind her beloved cousin Mary Dehazya and family; her beloved cat Spencer; Concetta Muccino of Italy; Baron Family; dear friend Bobbi and fellow residents of the Towers; her lawyer and dear friend Deborah Innocent and her family; her beloved caretakers Milli, Norma, and Zenaida; and many friends and loved ones whom she considered family.

Tina will be lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Reposing will be held at Conway Funeral Home, 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377, US, on August 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 82-00 35th Ave, New York, NY 11372, US, on August 7, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
