My dear Elly, I love you and will miss you more than I can say. You were such an important part of my life and of our family. For the first eight years of my life, you helped my mother raise Sara and me, and so many of my earliest and happiest memories include you. You were never simply someone who worked for our family. You were family, and becoming my godmother made that bond even more special.

I will always be grateful for the love and care you gave me and for the lessons you taught me, not only through your words, but through the way you lived your life. You taught me kindness, grace, patience and, perhaps most importantly, the importance of forgiveness. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life and always will.

I wish I had seen more of you in the later years of your life, but distance and time could never diminish what you meant to me. The love we receive as children stays with us forever, and I will always carry yours with me.

You were a wonderful godmother, an extraordinary presence in my childhood and truly a saviour to our family. I feel incredibly fortunate that you were there to help raise me and that I had your love for so many years. I will treasure our memories and remember you with enormous love and gratitude. Our dear elly, it seems it was just yesterday, that we met you for the first time in October 1975, from that day you have been a part of our family. You raised my two children, Yasmine, and Sara, with love and affection. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to continue my professional life. Your sincere loyalty and dedication to your job, as a professional Nanny raised our two daughters to be the perfect family and most successful in their professional life .
