It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Emilie Agami on November 3, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, on January 14, 1936, Emilie was the beloved daughter of Amin and Nour Agami. She spent her early years in Cairo before coming to the United States in 1969 with her sister Theresa and mother Nour to build a new life in New York City, where they settled in Woodside, Queens.
Emilie worked as a dedicated clerk at Citibank and in sales at Alexander’s Department Store, but her greatest devotion was always to her family. She lovingly cared for her mother, was a devoted sister to Theresa, George (with wife Alix), and Georgette (with husband Francois), and was affectionately known as Aunt Mimi, Tante Mimi, or Tia Mimi to Greg (Amanda), Chris (Jeanne), Mark (Kristen), Tonietta, Jose, and Marie-Claire. She is also lovingly remembered by her many great-nephews and great-nieces across the family and around the world.
Emilie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Nour and Amin Agami.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, located at 58-02 Roosevelt Ave, New York, NY, 11377, on November 6, 2025, from 10:45 am to 11:45 am.
The Committal Service will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, New York, NY, 11377, on the same day from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
