Frank Hodek Jr., 96 of Astoria, N.Y., passed away on September 24th, 2012. He was born in Astoria N.Y. on February 28th, 1916. His long time companion of 20-25 years was Anna Roseto. He was first married to Evelyn Lindgren in 1946, she passed away in 1972. Frank had a career in the U.S. Army where he received a purple heart and retired 25 years later. He loved his country. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Astoria for 60 years. Frank liked to vacation and loved to dance. Frank is survived by a daughter Dorothea Jarrett, his grandson Stan, nieces and nephews, and 4 great grand-children.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 1st, 2012. A Religious service will be held on Tuesday October 2nd at 11am and burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Mr. Hodak requested donations to be made to his four great grandchildrens college fund.
