Preceded in death by his wife Carmen Rosa Tudela in 1993 and son Juan Tudela in 2003 and survived by his son Marco Tudela and his wife Stefany, son Hernán Tudela and his wife Vivian, daughter Pattie Tudela-Rodriguez and her husband Steven, and daughter-in-law Ketty Moncloa, wife to Juan, as well as his sisters Zoila Luque, Rosa Barrios, Teresa Vexelman, Graciela Cabanillas and brother Jose Tudela.
What started with Hernán and Carmen 70 years ago eventually grew to a family of 21 that includes grandchildren: Adam and wife Sofia, Alex, Anthony and wife llianna (to Marco and Stefany); Julian, Brianna, Gianni (to Pattie and Steven); Carmen (to Juan and Ketty); Nicole and her husband Will Teixeira and Max (to Hernan and Vivian) and most recently, in January of this year, Papi met his first great grandson, Ocean Tudela, son of Adam and Sofia Tudela.
