Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Torres Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Ibraham Y. Torres US Army Specialist.  

We also place a flag in his honor each year on Memorial Day Weekend at our “Field of Flags” event, held under the Verrezano Bridge, next to Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn and at each location where we conduct this memorial. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and others who support our mission.  

We will not forget.  May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

Ibraham, it was and still is an honor to call you my cousin. You, with that smile, could light up any room. I miss it and so much more. Thank you for all the laughs, smiles, hugs, and times we shared together. I love you and you will always be in my heart.

It's always a risk, when these young men and women sign up to serve the country they love. We hope and pray it wont be them, and when it is, we can hardly believe it. No greater gift can a man give, than to lay down his life. His life wasn't in vain. And though I know the heartache, and sadness, and the memories that come flooding in to his friends and family of Ibraham... use those emotions to keep his memory alive. Thank you Lord Jesus for Ibraham and his family.

I do not know you, nor your family. i do know your kind. you would not have signed on to wear a uniform and fight for your country unless it was in your heart. signing this book, is more for your family. my dad, grandfather, and husband were all retired servicemen. To think of the pain your family is still goin through is heartbreaking. i pray God holds them close and comforts them as you sit with the Heavenly Father and talk. (if you are not religious, i mean this in no disrespect). May He give you comfort and some peace. My heart breaks that your family will not have you near to see that smile I can see in your picture.
