Jacqueline (Jackie) Bottiglieri passed away on February 18, 2020 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City, at 7:09 a.m. Jackie was born on November 28, 1961 in Barranquilla, Colombia to Evelio and Bertha Rodriguez. After moving to America with her sisters Sonia, Melva, Pilar and brother Evelio Jr., the family settled into Jackson Heights, Queens. As a teenager, Jackie began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses and decided to dedicate her life to Jehovah on August 9, 1980. Shortly thereafter, she was married to her husband Chris Bottiglieri on August 22, 1981. Just four years later she gave birth to their one and only child Ashley on October 25, 1985.
Jackie is predeceased by her mother and father, Bertha and Evelio Rodriguez. Jackie is survived by her loving husband Chris Bottiglieri of 38 years and daughter Ashley.
Jackie was a dedicated servant of Jehovah for 39 years and enjoyed serving him despite battling health problems for most of her life. Jackie is warmly remembered by her family and friends.
She never allowed her limitations take away the joy she felt with her brothers and sisters in the congregation, or with those she shared the Bible with. She was known for always smiling and joking, and radiated the joy of living – without complaining about her situation. For hobbies, Jackie enjoyed cooking and making jewelry.
