My husband Jerry and I have lived in the neighborhood for over 35 years and have known Larry well. We'll miss his charming personality and seeing him enjoying lunch at Donotos with friends. Rest in peace.

Larry was a like brother to me for many years. He had a wonderful career as a Steamfitter. After he retired from his career and learned of our son, Tommy, becoming a Steamfitter, Larry came out of retirement to mentor Tommy during his first two years of his apprenticeship.
That speaks volumes to Larry's generosity and caring for others.
May God keep Larry in the palms of his hands.
He will certainly be missed but will never be forgotten.

Larry has been a neighbor all my life. He was a little older than I but in recent years we always stopped to chat. His family was well known and respected throughout the decades. The neighborhood is poorer for his loss. I’ll miss seeing him around. My condolences to his brothers and the rest of the family.

My husband Bill and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Larry's sudden passing. We were neighbors first, and then became friends, having lived in the same building as Larry at Phipps Sunnyside for the past 35 years. In recent years, the three of us would go out for lunch or dinner a couple of times a year, to celebrate our birthdays, at a local restaurant. For the past few years, Bill and Larry shared he same indoor garage across the street from Phipps. Larry enjoyed spending time at his house upstate New York, and often said he loved "being on the mountain" and especially enjoyed when his family would visit him there. When I would run into Larry coming and going, he always had a smile and something nice to say and was always so positive. Larry will remain in our memories with fondness and affection, and we offer our sincerest condolences to his family members and friends.

I was a High School Classmate and Friend of Larry's. He was an All Around Good Guy! Larry always had a smile on His face and a kind word on His lips. He was both subtle and succinct in His demeanor and delivery, Larry wrote in my High School Yearbook, "Hey Marty, Nice fire in Chem Lab, Larry".

Family and Friends please know that Larry was well thought of and will be well remembered.

God Bless You Larry

I was a classmate of Larry's at Mater Christi H.S in Astoria, NY, Class of 1966. Larry was one of the great guys in our class of over 300 boys-side students. He was quiet and funny, one of the guys, but when he did say something it was always well intentioned. We had lots of fun times both in and out of school and had the best weekend and beach parties. He will be missed.
