Lillian (a.k.a. Lilly) grew up in Manhattan on 92nd Street. She attended Julia Richmond H.S., Our Lady of Good Counsel and Margaret Knox. After marrying her husband Steve, they resided in Astoria, Queens on Steinway Street. She worked in various offices: Bulova, Zales, Nantucket etc. as an office administrator. After raising her family, Lillian returned to school for further training for the work-place and went on to work in the garment district for many more years. She was a very loving mom. As an extremely strong, persistent and determined lady she always resolved any type of issue immediately. No stone was ever left unturned. Lilly always kept a very careful watch over her husband and daughters. At 90, Lillian's past time was still reading newspapers, books and solving math problems that were provided to her on a daily basis--all done without the aid of eyeglasses. Her distance vision was also very good too.
Lilly was an active member of St. Joseph Parish and a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed all the church events, loved to dance and socialize with the parishioners and clergy. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Stephen. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands: Catherine Fitzpatrick (Paul) and Lorraine Devlin (Jim). Survived by her grandchildren and their spouses: Ryan (Daria), Scott (Kallie) and Caroline (Dakota). She will be missed greatly. Love you Mom and Granny
