Loraine M. Korb Kerins of East Elmhurst, N.Y., entered into eternal rest on October 22, 2025. Loraine, or “Minnie” as she was always known to her Ohio family, was born on March 2,1947 to Fred and Esther Stockmeier in Cincinnati, Ohio, growing up there as one of five sisters. She moved to New York when she entered into a long and happy marriage to her devoted husband, the late Frank Kerins. Loraine is survived by daughter Amanda, family members in Ohio and New York, her faithful rescue Cupid, and the many friends and neighbors who were there for her always. Her welcoming home and high spirits, her steadfast support of her husband, through his career as a professor and through the daunting health challenges of his later years, her humor, her strength, and her beautiful gardens, will be remembered by all who were privileged to know her.
A gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at Conway Funeral Home, located at 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377, with the burial of ashes at Calvary Cemetery immediately following.
