He was born in the Philippines on February 26, 1948. He was fondly known as Bhoy but to us his family, he was our Papa, our Lolo (Grandpa), He is survived by my mother Marilou, I his eldest daughter Sally and his youngest daughter, my sister Anne, with his son-in-laws Ken and Owel and his four grandchildren Gabriel, Roswell, Miguel and Rowen.
Lolo is known for his love for music. He plays guitar including the songs of Beatles on his younger years. If not strumming the guitar, Lolo belts out his favorite Filipino ballad songs on family's karaoke nights. He was once the lead vocalist of his work band. Lolo is also remembered for his love for Tennis. He enjoys coaching and sharing the court with his grandchildren.
Lolo always imparts to everyone especially to us his children and grandchildren the importance of education. For it is a treasure he leaves for us that no one can take away. We will always remember him for his smile, his songs and all his sacrifices in providing us the life and education that supports us now. Papa, we love you and we will miss you.
