Thank you so much for all the beautiful messages you wrote on behalf of my Mom.  It was a joy to read many of your heartfelt sentiments from the days when she was lovingly known as Ms. Murray (later Mrs. McMahon).  Teaching at St. Teresa's School was indeed one of the most cherished highlights of her life and she treasured those memories dearly.  May God bless you all!

I LOVED Miss Murray! I loved being in her 4B Class, as well as everything about her. She was my inspiration to  become a teacher.

Remembering our 5th Grade teacher with fondness and happy memories of her joyful teaching.

What great memories Woodside, Sunnyside and St. Teresa's have given us all and Ms. Murray can be the grand marshall of that parade. When someone is held in such high esteem, she may well be considered the Michael Jordan of teaching. Thank you Ms. Murray for what you did for me and others. I'm sure your rewards in heaven are endless as is your legacy here on earth.

Miss Murray was  one of my  favorite teachers. She made learning fun and had a gift to make each one of us in class (60 students) feel special. For many of us she was a terrific role model . Years later when I went on to become a teacher, I often thought of the ways she taught us .
I also remember being at her wedding at St.Teresa's.
I've had the joy of reconnecting with her after many years and becoming friends  with her & her daughter Maryann. Several from our class were at her 80th Birthday party.It was a joy to be there to honor this special teacher and friend.
I have no ddoubt that she was warmly welcomed by her God whom she loved so well & so faithfully .

Miss Murray was a perfect role model for me as a young girl.  I could relate to her because she was one of us (not a nun). She was very kind to me and I'll never forget it.  May you rest in peace, Miss Murray.

This candle is a memorial to Mrs McMahon and her family.

Mrs McMahon was a great teacher and had an inpact son my life in my younger years and I had the privlage in knowing her and introducing her to my husband who thought she was a wonderful person.  She will always be in my heart.

Miss Murray was such a wonderful teacher and a wonderful woman. Everyone had such great memories of her, and 
how she helped them in school. I always found her to be 
a kind & helpful teacher. She always wanted what was best for us.
My mother had died in 1954 - the June before we had 
Ms. Murray in class. Ms. Murray's kindness meant a LOT 
to me at that age. I was 10 years old.  I am so glad that 
at our 50th Reunion, I got to tell her how much she 
meant to me.
I will be going to the wake, knowing that she is now in a better place - with God!

I remember always walking home with Miss Murray.  We would always cluster around her for the privilege of walking her to her door.  She was such a fun teacher and we all loved her.

Miss Murray always brought a smile to our young faces in St.Teresa's.When we spoke of her as adults, she brought a smile to our faces again. My she rest in wonderful peace.

Miss Murray was my teacher in grade 5A in St. Teresa's in Woodside. She also taught my sister, Eileen, in the 4th grade.  I will remember her for being supportive, kind and encouraging.  She was very professional in appearance and teaching skills. My understanding of math improved greatly in her class.  She was a role model to me as a young girl. I looked up to her as a dedicated teacher. She also shared her a deep faith with her students. I remember many of us went to the church to see her wedding at St. Teresa's Church. We helped her daughter,Maryann, throw her an 80th birthday party.  Miss Murray was also our honored guest at our class reunion in 2008. Many of us shared fond memories with her. My condolences to her close knit family.

Miss Murray was my 5th grade teacher at St Teresa's school circa 1954. She was always a kind, generous, caring teacher. May God grant her eternal peace.
