Mary worked for the telephone company, and moved to Queens with her family in the 1960s, renewing her vows with Frank at St Gregory’s Church in 1961. After retirement, she moved to Shokan NY, the home of many family gatherings. She was famous for her pot roast with red cabbage, and an irresistible Chocolate Bundt Cake. Mary moved to Queen of Peace Residence in 2004 and found a wonderful new home surrounded by their loving, caring staff.
Mary had a wonderful heart, quick whit, and delightful sense of humor. She enjoyed reading Louie L’Amour and countless other authors, listened to opera and traditional Irish folk music, enjoyed playing scrabble and May I, and was gifted at crochet and sewing outfits for her granddaughter’s dolls, or as she called them, “dollies.” Mary had a deep-rooted faith in God, gave to others, and took wonderful care of those around her.
