Ourania Stamatis of Astoria, New York passed away on August 6, 2015. She was born in Symi, Greece on May 5, 1912. She was married to John Stamatis who predeceased her in March of 1974. Ourania was a home maker who had a passion for cooking and making pastries. She was survived by her two children William and Irene, her two Grandchildren John and Katherine Panageas, and seven Great Grandchildren. Wake services will be held at Thomas M Quinn and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. and 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. She will be interred at the family plot at Cypress Hills Cemetery on Tuesday August 11, 2015.
