Loving son of Anastasios and Kiriaki Stathakos, brother of Maria, Tony, and Stacy, and husband to Sofia Sideris.
It is not often in this life that a light enters the world so brightly that it changes the trajectory of all those around them. Peter’s light shone so intensely that people from all walks of life were drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Enamored by his charm, his wit, his adventurous nature and his immense knowledge. He lived with a heart so full of empathy and compassion that it enveloped everyone near him.
Peter was a free spirit always looking for the next adventure, whether it be flying a plane, skydiving, kite surfing, wind sailing, hiking through the mountains, archery, or any other adrenaline
packed activity. And you would always find him barefoot in the process. When you spent time with Peter you were guaranteed to create core memories that would live on forever.
The times he spent in Greece, in his home village of Kallimasia, Chios, were the best times of his life. He would spend his summers in the embrace of his loving grandparents and running through the town barefoot with his friends and family. As he grew older, he continued his Greek adventures in his beloved Monolia, the place he found solace and peace.
His mind was a sponge; it absorbed all the information around him with intensity. He wanted to know the way things worked, and why they did. But more importantly he wanted to know if he had the capacity to make things more efficient. He was innovative and was always designing new ways to solve problems. No problem was too big, or mountain too high, there were only solutions.
If Peter loved you, he loved you fiercely, and entirely. He would give his world to you, and once you felt that love there was no other way to exist.
"The idea is not to live forever, but to create something that will." - Andy Warhol
