Phyllis Rogers

She was born on February 12, 1961, and was the daughter of the late William Rogers of Bronx, NY and Gladys Cohen (Martinez) of Valley Stream, NY.

Phyllis's life was a miracle, particularly since she wasn't expected to live past her 30s due to her condition. Nonetheless, Phyllis did live a longer and fuller life than expected. Although the odds were against her, Phyllis wanted nothing more than to be a mother, and she did just that. Fighting all odds, at the age of 28, Phyllis gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Christine. Although her role as Mom was short, Phyllis made the most of every moment before her condition progressed, leaving her daughter with happy memories. Phyllis's mother will also remember her as she was, a happy, fun loving dancing queen that couldn't stop moving when the music played.

In addition to her Mother, she is survived by her child, Christine, 34.

A Gathering for Phyllis will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons, 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377. Following the gathering will be a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St Raymond Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY 10465.
