A devoted wife to Efrain, loving mother to Cristina and David, and cherished mother-in-law to Tammi, she was the heart of her family and a source of strength, warmth, and joy to all who knew her. Her love was unwavering, her generosity boundless, and her presence impossible to forget.
Throughout her illness, she demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination, and positivity. Even during the most difficult moments, she faced life with grace and a fighting spirit that inspired everyone around her.
She had a gift for storytelling and delighted family and friends with memories from her years working as a freelance stenographer and tales of backpacking adventures across Europe in her younger days. Her stories were filled with humor, curiosity, and an appreciation for life’s experiences.
A longtime resident of Woodside, Queens, she found joy in creativity and craftsmanship. Whether cross-stitching, crafting, or exploring a new hobby, she seemed to possess a natural talent for making beautiful things with her hands. Her family often marveled at both her skill and patience.
She also enjoyed staying active through exercise classes and treasured the friendships she built over the years. Whether with friends in her building, the neighborhood, or lifelong childhood friends, she valued connection and had a special gift for making people feel welcome.
She especially loved Christmas, which she celebrated with enthusiasm, warmth, and a sense of wonder that brought family together year after year. She also had a well-known sweet tooth and enjoyed baking with Cristina, simple pleasures that always brought a smile to her face.
Above all, she treasured her family. She was not only a mother but also a best friend, confidante, and constant source of encouragement. Her love, wisdom, laughter, and stories will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family takes comfort in the countless memories she created and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy of strength, kindness, creativity, and optimism will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
May she rest in peace.
