Sophia Kowal of Astoria, New York entered into eternal rest on October 14, 2013. She was born on October 24, 1924 in the Ukraine to John Jaremko and Maria Sawka. Sophia will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2013 from 5:00pm-9:00pm. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday October 17, 2013 10:00am at Holy Cross Ukrainian Church. Interment to follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery located in Campbell Hall, New York.
