My first dance partner and my friend,

You were always such a fun, positive person, full of energy and joy. I will always remember how supportive and encouraging you were, especially when we danced together. I feel so lucky that you were my very first dance partner.

I will miss dancing with you, the laughter, the fun, and that amazing energy you brought with you. It’s hard to believe you’re no longer here.

I hope you’re dancing up in heaven now, bringing your joy and happiness wherever you go. 🕺✨

So saddened to hear this news. 💔 So many wonderful memories from our Mambo Bravo days. Those days will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest in peace.

Dearest Steve and family,
I have fond memories with you and CDLS. Wednesday night practices were good times. Probably teaching On 2 up in heaven. Will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love Jay and Linsey

Steve, you were smart, funny, and so wonderfully witty, with a heart big enough to make everyone feel seen and welcome. You had a way of giving comfort without even trying, and somehow turned strangers into instant friends. That was just who you were.
And then there was your talent — not just as an amazing dancer, but as a true student of it. You meticulously cataloged Eddie Torres’s lessons in that notebook of yours... a notebook I’m not ashamed to admit I always wanted to steal, because clearly it held the secrets of the universe.
Your knowledge of music was unbelievable, and your eye for photography was something special. You didn’t just capture faces — you captured feeling, spirit, and the little moments that mattered.
I could go on and on about you, Steveeee, because there is simply so much to say. You were one of a kind, and we all feel the loss of your light in our lives.
I hope you are free now from all the troubles of this world. And knowing you, I’m sure you already have your dance schedule set, the music picked out, and the whole room smiling.

Steve was a special person. We met through our shared love of salsa dancing. We had many beautiful dances at salsa socials through the years. Steve was a talented dancer and a great lead. He was kind and generous, spreading his warmth through his bright  smile and humor. Steve’s spirit will be felt forever. RIP, Steve

This is so very sad. Steve was such a warm, kind, and fun friend / teacher. Thank you, Steve, for all those delightful dances. You will be missed immensely.

So sad to hear of Steven's passing. He was such an outgoing personality and shared his love of salsa and Puerto Rican dishes with all in his company. I will miss you dearly, cousin ..the world is a little dimmer without your light . Until we meet again.
