

Sundaram Srinivasan was born May 20, 1946 in Bangalore, India. He suffered a Polio attack nine months after his birth, which severely crippled his ability to move as well as his spinal cord. This did not curb his ambition to succeed in life. He graduated with a BS in Journalism and worked as sub-editor for a leading Indian newspaper before coming to the United States in 1986. After undergoing Treakastromy surgery in Queens General Hospital, he was admitted to the Coler Goldwater Auxiliary Rehabilitation Facility in 1989. Sundaram Srinivasan, lovingly called "Srini", was the President of the Coler Goldwater Auxiliary. An extremely loving and compassionate person, Srini was instrumental in setting up various service activities in the hospital benefiting the patients and spreading cheer. These services included the monthly distribution of birthday cards and gifts to patients and welcoming new patients to the hospital. In addition, special occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Holiday Seasons were celebrated by him in the hospital and special cards and gifts were given to patients on these occasions. He was also responsible for setting up the annual multi-cultural show for the resident patients in Goldwater Hospital. He will be missed very much both by the patients and volunteers of the Sri Sathya Sai Organization as well as his family and friends. Srini leaves to cherish his memory his family here in the United States as well as in India. Visitation will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. and the Funeral Service will be on Thursday from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. He will be cremated at St. Michael's Crematory on Thursday at 12:00 noon.
