My name is Frank picarelli. I was friends with Tom and also worked with him at the deli. I live in Texas for the last 30 plus years. I was visiting this weekend and heard about Tom’s passing. I am very sorry for your loss. Tom was an awesome person who had a big heart. My condolences to Lorraine his daughters and the entire Casey family.

On 9/11 walked out of the city and made my way to Woodside.
  Couldn’t find a public phone that worked to call my wife.
Went to Woodside deli and said Tommy does your phone work
Yes it does it’s right there, call the wife and she ok. She worked seven blocks from the Trade Center. Tommy was my age and he was always in the parish center gym when we teenagers.He had a unique jump when shooting hoops
  He always had that fun Irish way about him. Casey was fun.

Tom Casey was a good Man. I knew him from the Woodside Kiwanis Club. He gave his reports at the meetings as a executive Kiwanis Officer. He will be missed  in Woodside and we love him dearly.

My condolences to Tom's sisters Noreen and Anne,his wife Lorraine and there lovely daughters. Tom will be missed by many who knew him when he was a Basketball coach and leader in Brigade. Others knew him when he owned the Woodside deli. I have many fond memories of Tom. May you rest in peace my friend until we meet again.
