Aaron Mason Robinson

Aaron Mason Robinson, age 51, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on May 11, 2022.

Aaron was a joyful, uplifting person who radiated positive energy into others and the world around him. He was adventurous and loved spending time on his boat and watching the sunset. He was known for his hand stands, crazy hats and love of dance and music.

Aaron was a proud father to his two daughters, Skylar and Kiara, and was so much more to them: a mentor, a friend and their biggest supporters. Aaron turned every moment with his girls into an opportunity for making happy memories. His 90% hearing loss, for example, could have been understandably detrimental for anyone, but Skylar and Kiara used it to go through all of the loving nicknames, Daddeo, Dad, Aaron, until he heard A-A-Ron which he would always answer to. He made sure he took them out on daddy daughter dates and instilled a love for musicals and the gift of storytelling.

Aaron obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Dance Major) from Western Michigan University, his Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Arizona State University and his Post Masters (Guidance Counselor Major) from Ottowah University. He was a recipient of various awards and grants including the Herberger College of Fine Arts Research Award from ASU.

Aaron had a rich background full of dance and found his calling as a youth guidance counselor. He always wanted what was best for others and was passionate in advocating. Many students have shared that, “we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for him.” A true confidant, Aaron also brought smiles to the faculty, parents and students during his infamous car duty. He donned inflatable costumes, wigs and had a crazy hat for every day of the year. His joyful antics became so infamous, that he received handmade crazy hats from others adding to his collection.

Aaron was deeply loved by his family and friends and loved them even more in return. His energetic and fun attitude will forever be cherished by all that knew him.

Aaron Mason Robinson is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Angela Lynn Kent Robinson. He is survived by his parents, Rickie and Susan Robinson; daughters, Skylar and Kiara Robinson; siblings, Suzahna (James) Fegan, Richard Robinson, Ethan Robinson and Summer (Dennis) Lettau; nieces and nephews, Sydney, Sophia and Sarah Lettau, William Mish, and Samantha and Patrick Fegan; fiancé, Marla Shaw; and many other extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 11AM until 1PM at Woodstock Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 1PM in the Reece Memorial Chapel (livestream is available for anyone unable to attend in person). Per Aaron’s request, the Robinson family invites guests to wear bright, happy colors and your favorite crazy hat. All are welcome to bring a dessert to share following the services.
