Alan James O'Connor passed on July 2, 2026, at the age of 57; he was born January 13, 1969 in Dublin, Ireland. Alan was a resident of Marietta, Georgia and had remarkable courage, strength, and dignity.
Alan was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Livia Elaine O'Connor, and his mother, Elaine (Elizabeth) O'Connor. His father, Seamus O'Connor, passed away just two days after Alan, making their loss especially heartbreaking for the family.
Alan is survived by his devoted wife, Jami O'Connor, and their beloved children, Isabella, Liam, and Quinn O'Connor, who were the center of his life and his greatest source of pride. He is also survived by his brother, Niall O'Connor; his sister, Lorna, and her husband, Dave; their children, Dara and Conor; his extended family, including Marian; and many relatives, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Above all else, Alan was a devoted husband and father. He stood by his wife and children through every joy and every hardship, always ready to help at a moment's notice, never asking questions—only asking how he could help. His family knew they could always count on him for his unwavering love, encouragement, and support. He was immensely proud of each of them, and they were the greatest joy of his life.
Alan had a lifelong love of music. He enjoyed playing the guitar and found even greater happiness in teaching his children to play, sharing not only his musical talent but also creating treasured memories that will live on for generations. He loved spending time talking with family and friends, never passing up the opportunity for a good chat, and he was a passionate supporter of Liverpool Football Club, faithfully cheering on his favorite team.
Those who knew Alan will remember him as a man of extraordinary generosity and kindness. He was never selfish and was always willing to help anyone in need, often putting others before himself without expecting anything in return. His loyalty was unwavering, his heart was open, and he was the kind of person who would always have your back. His compassion, humor, and selflessness touched countless lives.
Though Alan's passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on in the love he gave so freely, the values he instilled in his children, the music he shared, and the many lives he enriched through his kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who knew him.
May he rest in eternal peace.
