Anne is preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Kristen Early; her husband, Ronald Hoyt Early; son in law, Vernon Thomas (Tommy) Lingerfelt; nephew, Michael Brett Anderson; mother, Katie Bea Anderson; father, William Benton Anderson; mother in law, Mildred Estelle Walters Early; father in law Hobart Farrell Early; brothers in law Eugene Early and Phillip Early; nephew Phil Early Jr.; sister in law Katherine Early; grandmother Pink Adele McClain Hamilton; grandfather, Hubert Hamilton; grandmother Aroma Rosetta Anderson; grandfather, John Anderson; her favorite cousin Jay Ann Karnes; lifelong friend Rosa Green Jackson; her beautiful little dog Arthur. And Walt Disney.
Survived by daughter, Elizabeth Scott (Scottie) Early Lingerfelt; grandson, Zachary McClain Lingerfelt (Cadence Boatright); granddaughter, Veronika Roze Lingerfelt (Michael Petersen); great grandson, Kaiden Scott Lingerfelt, brother Benton Lee Anderson (Janice); brother Kirby McClain Anderson (Amy); sisters in law Linda Ann Early and Joyce Early; niece, Kelly Anderson and her mother Patricia; niece Karie Anderson (Brett); nieces Kelly Early Robertson and Amy Early Morse; great nephew Chris Robertson; great niece Ashley Anderson (husband and children) and great nephew Dan Anderson; Honorary daughter Jennifer and Jeff Lingerfelt and children Zane and Madison Lingerfelt and Josie Allison and Liam Vander Veen; nephews, John Early and sons, and Jason Early(Stacey) and sons; Cousins, Bennie Karnes (Kris) and their children Austin and Casey. Honorary grandson Oscar Maxwell Clark (Lauren).
Anne was born in a small farmhouse located in the southeastern corner of Woodstock in Cherokee County, GA. Her family eventually relocated to the city center of Woodstock, GA. She enjoyed and loved all animals including riding her horse over the countryside of Cherokee county as a child. Anne attended Woodstock Elementary School, Cherokee High School, and Shorter College where she met Ronnie Early and married in the year 1962 at Ringold, GA. After their marriage the couple resided at Shorter College in Rome, GA until Ronnie graduated and then moved to the Smyrna area of Cobb County Ga. Several years later she returned with her husband and daughters to reside in Woodstock, Ga in the Lickskillet Community where she had been born.
During her work career, Anne worked with Snap-On Tools, Cobb County School System as a substitute teacher, Woodstock Gas Company, The Ritz Carlton Downtown Atlanta, Lockheed Marietta where she built planes, Parisians Department Store as the top Brighton brand Sales person every year she worked with the company, Kohls Department Store as their top jewelry sales, Evenflo on the manufacturing line, She was amazing, brave and courageous as she could do any job.
Anne was an accomplished ballet dancer and horse rider; and a great fan of The Georgia Shakespear Festival and All things Disney.
She also was the BEST EVER SWIMMER’S Mom! Anne spent tireless hours transporting her daughter and teammates to practices at the crack of dawn and again in the evenings as well as traveling to swim meets around the southeastern regions and sometimes farther. She was a favored Chaperone by many of her daughter’s swim mates, helping with the Atlanta Swim Association (ASA) Team and Swim Atlanta Teams.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia, 30188.
Repast will be Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM at The Holbrook at Woodstock, 13682 GA Hwy 92, E, Woodstock Georgia, 30188.
