On October 25, 2023, Barry Lee Tedder was absent from the body and face-to-face with The Lord. For many years his day began in prayer and study of God’s Word. He grew in Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He now resides in Heaven – “no more tears, no more sorrow, no more pain, the old things have passed away.”
Barry grew up in St. Augustine, Fl and after high school graduation and a stent at Junior College, served honorably in the United States Navy from 1964-66 during Vietnam. He also attended the University of Georgia business school, Dekalb Technical Institute, specialty business management courses with IBM and Xerox and Six Sigma Green Belt status.
His long professional career started with IBM which spanned over a period of twenty-two years. He left the company in 1988 when IBM sold their product centers to Nynex Business Centers. Furthermore, specialty support personnel were transferred to Nynex as a part of the sale. Later in his career, he worked for Xerox Global Services where he was Director of ODA Operations until his retirement.
In 1988 Barry married his first love and his last love, Michele. They met at five years old while living on the same street in St Augustine, Fl. Barry and Michele were married for 35 years at the time of his death. His last few years were spent in a great deal of pain; however, he never lost his one-of-a-kind wit and sense of humor. He made everyone around him laugh with hilarity. He was greatly loved by family and friends but no one more so than his wife Michele.
Barry is survived by his beloved wife, Michele and his daughter, Rebecca Tedder, brother, George Tedder and wife, Connie, sister, Jan Tedder and loving nieces and nephews.
Private inurnment services will be held at a later date at the Georgia National Cemetery with Navy military honors.
