Betty Sue Johnson, age 69, of Acworth, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018.
Betty was born to the late Andrew and Rosie Higdon in McCaysville, Georgia. She was the youngest of four children. She grew up in McCaysville, GA and graduated from West Fannin County High School.
In 1972, Betty married the love of her life, John S. Johnson Jr. The couple fell in love over a piece of hot fudge cake while on their first date at Shoney’s and the rest was history. They were blessed with two children. Their family later grew to include many beloved in-laws, grandchildren, etc.
Betty was a woman who got her strength from her belief in our Lord. She loved & took great pride in her family. Her main goal in life was to make sure her husband, John, was happy & always taken care of. After the main goal was met, she would then turn her focus to her children. Other joys in life came from watching her grandchildren grow into loving and vibrant young adults.
Later in life, she enjoyed the simple things, like sitting at the kitchen table watching the birds fly around, and the flowers that John would pick for her.
Betty is preceded in death by her father, Estis, mother, Rosie, her sister, Rose Mary aka “Granny”, and her oldest brother, Jim, and Survivors include her husband of forty six years, John S.
