IN THE CARE OF
Woodstock Funeral Home
Bill Criswell of Woodstock, formerly of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on March 11th after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger, and his wife, Joan, as well as his parents, brother George and his sister, Sandra. Bill is survived by his daughter, Wendy; his brothers Jack, Joel and Mark; his beloved dog, Betsy, and his cat, Ollie. Bill was in the Alabama Air National Guard and attended Auburn University. After a successful career as a purchasing manager, Bill took early retirement from AT&T and pursued a career in real estate as a Realtor until his retirement in 2019. He spent many mornings sitting on his bench in Smith-Gilbert Gardens taking in the view and appreciating the flora as he was a Master Gardener. He was involved with the United Way as well as dressing up as Santa for the Atlanta Humane Society's Christmas photos.
At Bill's request, there will be no service. His daughter asks that to honor his memory you be kind to a stranger and give your dog an extra hug today. If you are in the rooms of recovery, please say a prayer for the still sick and suffering.
