

Bill was born on December 9th, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was adopted and raised (along with his adopted sister Judy) by Leonard and Lucille Stanley of El Dorado, Arkansas.
Bill served in the Air Force from 1962 until 1966, worked as a mechanic for Lockheed Aircraft, and worked in the real estate industry for over 40 years.
Bill loved hunting and fishing and was a world traveler, both while in the service and afterwards.
Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years Anne, his sister Judi Ostergard, his stepdaughter Elizabeth Kraus (Tony), his stepson Darrell Beasley (Nicole), his nephew Chris Chambers, his niece Amy Rudolph, his granddaughters Kendall, Rachel (Alex), and Taylor, and great grandson Finnick.
Bill will be laid to rest with military honors at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 2:30 PM. Bill will be escorted from Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia to Georgia National Cemetery. Those who wish to participate, please be at the Woodstock Funeral Home by 1:00 PM, the procession will leave promptly at 1:30 PM.
A reception will follow the committal service at Bill and Anne's house, 364 Acuba View, Woodstock, Georgia, 30188, gate code #4073.
