Bonnie Loraine Bain, 95, of Woodstock, GA, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 25, 2025.
Bonnie, or Rene as she was known to many, was born on January 12, 1930, in Chattanooga, TN, to Samuel Lawrence and Kitty Mae Minnis. As the third of five girls, she grew up in a loving home with her sisters and parents.
She built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and purpose. Bonnie married Donavon Lowell Bain on December 27, 1947, and together they created a home that was always open to family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, celebrating every milestone and moment with them.
Bonnie spent her life caring for others. She loved cooking for her family, visiting with her friends, speaking with her sisters on the phone, and talking about Jesus. Those who knew her will always remember her for being a prayer warrior and intercessor.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Willlard, her son Michael Bain (Joan), her grandchildren Kathy Wood (Damon), James Willard, Jeffrey Bain, and Matthew Bain, her great-grandchildren Jarett Willard and Elina Willard, her sister Gayle Dickerson, and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law Al Willard, and her sisters Bertha Shoemaker, Willie Barnett, and Faye Yarbrough. Though her absence leaves a hole in our hearts, her love and example will remain with us forever.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 12pm, with visitation starting at 11am at Poole Funeral Home, 1970 Eagle Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189. Interment will follow at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Loganville, GA. Family and friends are invited to honor a life so well lived.
Bonnie’s legacy is one of love which was steady, selfless, and enduring. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed enough to know her
