

Camellia was born on September 28, 1947 to Daniel W. and Julia Ann Glover in Leominster Massachusetts. In 1966 Camellia married Victor Hansard Jr. She then gave birth to Monti Q. Hansard on June 12, 1967. On April 22, 1971 she gave birth to Victor B. Hansard III, who preceded her in death January 12, 2002.
She has belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 201 Alpharetta since 1979, where she served in the chairmanships and offices up to and including President twice through the years. She served the American Legion Auxiliary Ninth District in chairmanships and offices up to and including President twice. She served the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Georgia in Chairmanships and offices up to and including President in 1997-1998 and National Executive Committee Member in 1998-1999. She served the National American Legion Auxiliary on many committees and held Divisional Chairmanships as well, and in 2011 she was elected to serve as National Chaplain for the year 2011-2012.
She belonged to the National Association of Parliamentarians and has taught Parliamentary Procedure for several years to Units and Districts in the American Legion Auxiliary requesting her services. Camellia also belonged to the Sandy Springs Woman’s Club and was serving as President when she was with Junior Achievement and taught classes at North Springs Charter High School and Sweet Apple Elementary School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, GA for 46 years where she served as Sunday School Superintendent for two years and taught adult Sunday School Classes for many years. Camellia has been inactive for many years as a result of moving away in 1983.
Nini loved volunteering and serving the cause of children and veterans. She served Georgia Girls State for 23 years. Nineteen years as a counselor and her last four years there as Assistant Director. She also served as chairman of the Girls State Booster Club for thirteen years during which she raised just under twenty-five thousand dollars to enhance the young women’s Girls State experience. She worked on the committee to help get our immediate past National Commander, Dale Barnett elected and loved working with the group to help bring this about.
She traveled over the past eight or ten years with her best friend, who she referred to as her sister from another mother, Susie Mash covering many hundreds of miles visiting the VA Hospitals in Augusta, GA, Milledgeville, GA, Dublin, GA, Montgomery, AL, and Tuskagee AL. They traveled to Virginia, Minnesota, Indiana, South Carolina and Wisconsin just to mention a few states all in volunteer service to the American Legion Auxiliary. She attended all but two National Conventions since 1993 and all but two Washington Conferences since 1996.
On May 12, 1983, Camellia married the love of her life Gerald Lynch. He taught her much about life including, “Everyone is good for something, even if it is just to hold up as an example of what NOT to become,” and “you cannot hold others to YOUR standards.”
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Lynch, her son Mark Lynch of Ardmor, AL, her daughter Monti Hansard and partner Mitchell Minter; two brothers, Daniel D. Glover of League City, TX and wife Joyce; Paul L. Glover of Franklin, TN and wife Maria; two sisters Judy L. Hollis and husband Doug of East Bernard, TX and April A. Eppes and husband Bill of East Bernard, TX. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation for Camellia will be Friday from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a service on Saturday January 14, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Phil Youngblood will be officiating. Burial will be at the Georgia National Cemetery Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Legion Aux – Girl’s State Program. Arrangements are being taken care of by Woodstock Funeral Home.
