Camille was born on February 29, 2004. Shortly after birth she suffered a seizure and her family brought her home in hospice care. Defying all expectations, Camille lived for 14 years. During her short life she underwent numerous medical procedures and fought off death on several occasions. Though nonverbal, Camille was able to communicate happiness and love with her beautiful smile. She was equally adept at communicating her displeasure with her “grumpy face.”
On the occasion of Camille’s “1st” birthday (2/29/2008) her then 7 year old sister, Courtney, described her best:
Cutie
Am never mad
Millie is very cute
I’m never bad
Little Millie
Little Millie
Everybody’s sweetheart
Camille is survived by her parents, Jim Bass of Canton, GA and Dena Bass of Woodstock, GA; brother, Derrick Bass; sister, Courtney Bass, both of the home; grandparents, Bill and Carol Bass of Knoxville, TN and Ned Blevins of Shady Valley, TN. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Janice Blevins and Mary Ann Bass.
