Carl Franklin Davis, a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather, embarked on his final journey on February 15, 2026, in Canton, Georgia, at the age of 64. Born on April 3, 1961, in the quaint town of Huntsville, Alabama, Carl carried within him the warmth of Southern hospitality and the grit of a steadfast worker, which he demonstrated throughout his life in the concrete wall and foundation industry. He dedicated many years to Keystone Concrete and AA Landscape and Stone, where his contributions to the community poured forth in the sturdy structures that hold homes and dreams together.Carl was a man of numerous passions, each as profound as the foundations he laid in life. He found great joy wielding a golf club on sunlit afternoons, where every swing was a dance of celebration in the embrace of nature. But perhaps his greatest joy came from the tender title of "Papa," which he wore with pride. Cheyenne, Trent, and Audrey, his cherished grandchildren, brought light into his life in ways that only little ones can, and he delighted in the laughter and love they shared, nurturing their spirits just as he had with his own children. His heart was anchored in his unwavering faith and profound relationship with Jesus, a guiding force that illuminated his path through life’s complexities. An athlete in his youth, Carl also reserved fond memories of his days wrestling in high school, a testament to his tenacity and competitive spirit, traits that remained part of his legacy.Carl leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory. He is survived by his son Chad Davis and daughter-in-law Nicole Davis, as well as his daughter Lauren McGill and son-in-law Jason McGill. The bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood run deep, with his sister Wanda Southerland and brother-n-law Larry Logan, Wayne Davis, his brother, and Vicki Davis, his sister-in-law, embracing their memories of him, alongside his sister Cheryl Council and brother-in-law Dirk Council. As we gather to celebrate Carl’s life, we invite all who knew him to remember him with the same joy and warmth that he shared with others. Visitation will be held at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Woodstock, Georgia, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on February 22, 2026, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. The day will culminate with a burial ceremony at Rolling Hill Memory Garden in Acworth, Georgia, where he will rest beneath the shelter of the trees that once whispered secrets of his journey. In the tapestry of life, Carl Franklin Davis was a steadfast thread, weaving strength, love, and laughter into the hearts of those around him. His legacy will endure, cherished by his family and friends who will carry his spirit forward, holding tight to the memories that will forever reside within them.
