

Carmen Fernandez Nesnick passed away Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021. She was 89. Mrs. Nesnick enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and crocheting. She was a longtime member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
Mrs. Nesnick is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Nesnick, and son, Edward Nesnick, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Anna Maria (Teo) Sanchez, of Legroño, La Rioja, Spain; children: Roseanna (Tim) Dugan, of Clearwater, Fla.; Gail (Joel) Melamed, of Roslyn Heights, N.Y.; Karen Nesnick, of Smyrna, Ga.; Michal (Sharity) Nesnick, of Canton, Ga.; Anthony (JoAnn) Nesnick, of Huntington, N.Y.; and John (Alyson) Nesnick, of Hamilton, Ga.; grandchildren: Orlin (Tiffany) Villeda; Carmen and Eddie Nesnick; Hunter, Kelsey, and Jaeda Nesnick; Kristen (Will) De Andrade; Sean (Melissa) Dugan; Ryan Dugan; Scott Melamed; Andrew (Nicole) Melamed; Nickalus Nesnick; and Brianna Hausman; and great-grandchildren, Anastasia De Andrade, Ethan Dugan, and Elika, Quihnn and Lucian Villeda.
Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 9, from 5-8 p.m. at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 490 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Woodstock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
