

Carole Honrath, an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Woodstock, died after a short illness on May 8, 2012. She was born December 15, 1939 in St. Louis Missouri to Joseph C. and Margaret (Nordman) Wehner. Carole graduated from Du Bourg High School in St. Louis in 1958. Carole and John were married on June 24, 1961.
Carole is survived by John, her husband of nearly 51 years, and by sons and daughter-in-law Thomas, Gerald (Jerry) and Sharon, and by her daughter Barbra. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law James and Syndy, Joe and Joan and by sisters and brothers-in-law Margaret (Peggy) and John Abel, and Marilyn and Bill Berra. In addition, she is survived by John's brothers and their wives Don and Ann, Steve and Meg, Dan and Chris, Francis and Linda, and Allan and by his sisters and brother-in-law Mary Lou Kappenman, Moreah Vestan, and Julie and Reid Halstenrud. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Carole worked briefly for Associate Grocers in St. Louis and for McDonalds, Electrolux and the Atlanta Journal.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Michael's.
