Carolyn Conner

Mrs Carolyn Conner, age 78, was called home on February 13th 2025 at Brightmoor Inpatient Hospice in Macon GA with her daughter at her bedside . She was born in 1946 in Nashville Tennessee. She graduated in 1964 from the famous Isaac Litton High School in Nashville . She met her husband to be - from former Sewart AFB Smyrna TN - while cruising around Shoney's in Madison TN. She married Clifford Conner in 1965. They relocated to Georgia . She welcomed her daughter and only child In 1967. She was a homemaker and later worked clerical position for decades at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell GA . She helped people deal with their emotions when they brought payments in for cemetery services . In 1984 she completed her Associates Degree in Education at Reinhardt College in Woodstock . In 1996 and 1998 she became a grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed being a MawMaw . She traveled with her husband to training schools with his employer, many fishing trips with her husband and trips to see her grandchildren often as well as her aging parents until their passing . Her husband passed in 2016 from cancer and she never really recovered from losing him as they were married for almost 51 years . She spent the last year of her life in senior community close to her daughter . She dearly missed her home and her husband. She became very acutely ill with several unexpected complications in late January 2025.

She is survived by her sister Patricia Bayless of Red Boiling Springs TN, her daughter Kimberly Conner Chatman (Johnny) of Macon GA , her granddaughter Kayleigh Lynn Chatman of Birmingham Alabama, and her grandson Conner John Chatman of Macon GA . Several nieces and nephew in TN and NC , and BFFs Becky and Bonnie in Nashville TN

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076.
