Love & Prayers, Shirley & Paul has purchased Eco-Friendly Memorial Trees for Carolyn McDonald

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  This is Dennis Frey, President of Master's International University of Divinity, but most importantly, a friend of Richard and Carolyn McDonald. 
I think you all will agree that friendship is among the most wonderful of human relationships, and one of the most mysterious.  It is possible to consider someone a friend that you have known most of your life, and yet never felt any real kinship toward.  On the other hand, it is possible to have known someone for fewer years yet because of that unexplainable mystery of friendship feel a strong and sincere kinship from the start.My wife, Sharon, and I first met Carolyn at her husband Richard's doctoral graduation in January of 2018.  Along with the award of his doctoral degree, Richard received our University's prestigious "Conquerors Award."  It was a festive occasion, and Carolyn was properly dressed for the event.
Her gracious manner and cultured southern charm promoted Sharon and me to refer to her as the quintessential southern belle. We did not know at the time, but her sweet manners were masking physical challenges that most certainly would have been an appropriate reason for not attending such a physically and emotionally challenging event.From that time, we kept in regular contact with Dr. & Mrs. McDonald, praying daily for their health.  It was therefore with personal sadness that we learned of her home going on this past April 19th. 
I say her home going not her passing, while an often-used expression of respect; passing does not carry enough weight of truth for someone with the faith of Carolyn McDonald.  Homegoing is better because it is Biblical.  For the believer, from the moment of conversion, our real estate shifts from earth to heaven.
The Apostle Paul said it for Carolyn:"For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge .Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—for we walk by faith, not by sight—we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord" (II Corinthians 5:1-8 NASV). Carolyn Beverly McDonald is at home, with the Lord.
Therefore, to Carolyn's husband Richard, her children, grandchildren, and sister, we offer our temporary condolences sufficient I pray until we are all finally home with the Lord in the Father's house.

Carolyn will truly be missed. She was fun while being funny. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,  sister and cousin and a friend to many

Carolyn was a neighbor that always had a smile and kind words for everyone. Thoughts and prayers for the family.
