In the mid-1980s Mrs. Carolyn received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, repenting of her sins and placing her full trust in the Lord. In her Christian journey she served in ministries Christ Prayer Deliverance and Outreach Ministries of Riceboro, Georgia, East Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Barnesville, Georgia and First Baptist Church Woodstock of Woodstock, Georgia. Mrs. Carolyn’s life was a living witness and testimony of the transformative difference Christ makes in one’s life. She took opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with those around her.
As an Army wife, Mrs. Carolyn served as the anchor of her family, providing the vital emotional support to her husband to meet the demanding life of Army service, managing the household and raising her children during foreign deployments, and the personal sacrifice that comes with putting the needs of her spouse and her children above her own. The loving care Mrs. Carolyn and her husband bestowed on daughter Sheila (Buffy), born with severe challenges due to cerebral palsy, provided a quality of life and length of years far beyond doctor’s prognosis (truly only God knows). During her husband’s 26 years of military service, Mrs. Carolyn always made a house a home for her family in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Baumholder, Germany, Fort Dix, New Jersey, Ft.
