Carolyn Joyce Rivers West

Carolyn, also known to many as Joyce, was the daughter of Guy and Gardie Rivers of Atlanta where she was born and raised. Predeceased by three sisters and a brother, Mary Bea Brown, Guy "Buck" Rivers Jr., Louise Pittard, and Patsy Evans.

After graduating from North Fulton High School, Carolyn married Boyce "Bogie" West on July 12, 1947, remaining in Atlanta to raise their family.

Carolyn and Bogie were inseparable and loved traveling, golf, ballroom dancing, gardening, boating, and living on "golden pond". Her most favorite way to spend time was with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dynamic Hospice cared for Carolyn with utmost respect and helped our family immensely.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 75 and a half years, Boyce "Bogie"; son Boyce "Bogie" Jr., daughter-in-law Luann, daughter Melea Benavides, son-in-law Victor, grandchildren Davin (Alisia) Benavides, Megan West, and Matthew (Danielle) West, and great-grandchildren: Hudson, Naomi, Isabelle, and Zoe Benavides, Alexis West, and Madeline and Scott Carter West.
