Chester Morris

Born on April 28, 1948 in Atlanta, GA, he was son of William Walter and Jewel Pearl Morris. He was retired from the City of Roswell. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother and son.

Chess is survived by his wife Sarah Olson Morris, son Clint Morris and wife Kim of White, GA; daughter Mary Jourdan and husband Corey of Acworth, GA; daughter Rachel Toumbleston and husband Joshua of Jasper; grandchildren Melissa Morris, Tristan Morris, Lucia Jourdan and Theo Toumbleston; brother William Morris of Tucson, AZ and Sister Patricia Erwin of Avondale Estates, GA as well as many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his love of family. He enjoyed travel, hiking, repairing and building furniture and reading. He also loved to boss everyone around, give instruction and was very proud of his wife’s ability to train 2 kittens how to ride the skateboard.

A visitation for Chester will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Mountains Roman Catholic Church, 1908 Waleska Hwy #108, 108, Jasper, GA 30143.
