

Chet grew up in Woodstock, Georgia. He was a 2014 graduate from Sequoyah High school. He went to Georgia state for three years and was an army medic with national guard. He was deployed in 2018 to Afghanistan. Upon his return he graduated from the Cambridge sonography program and earned an associate degree. He was employed by the Atlanta Veterans Hospital for the last three years. Chet enjoyed fishing, soccer, video games, music festivals and playing magic the gathering. He was a loyal friend to those who knew him.
He is survived by his parents Stephen and Theresa Shacklett and his sister Julie Shacklett, Grandparents, Allen B. and Patricia J. Houdek. His uncle Tom (Kelly) Houdek, Charles (Kristin) Brown, Clifford Shacklett and many cousins. He was a loving son and brother with a heart of gold and a pure joy to be around. He will eternally be missed.
A visitation for Chet will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral will occur Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 12:00 PM, in the Chapel at Woodstock Funeral Home. A committal will occur Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114.
