Christy Anne Rowan

Born on October 11, 1972, in Smithtown, New York, Christy lived a life defined by love, dedication, and compassion. Above all else, she cherished her family and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy was raising her children, and she will always be remembered as the best mother anyone could ask for.

Christy found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking for those she cared about, spending time camping, relaxing at the beach, and cheering on her children playing softball and baseball. She created countless treasured memories with family and friends through her warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit.

Professionally, Christy built a successful career in the hospitality industry. She held all titles, mostly group sales such categories, Government and SMERF sales manager, even an entire production crew for Ashton Kutcher's movie Five Killers. Her talent, determination, and leadership led her to become a Director of global sales with Starwood which was later purchased by Marriott. She earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout her career and took great pride in mentoring others and building lasting relationships.

Christy was preceded in death by her beloved father, William Peluso.

She is survived by her loving husband, Derrick Rowan; her son, Tyler Rowan; her daughter, Brooke Rowan; her mother; Ellen Peluso, and her brother, Daniel Peluso, and his wife, Samantha. She also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Christy's kindness, strength, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the love she gave so freely.

A Celebration of Life for Christy will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, Georgia 30188, on August 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
