Connor W. Merritt

Connor W. Merritt, age 17, of Woodstock, GA passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010. Connor is survived by his mother, Judy Merritt of Woodstock, father, Randy Merritt of Sarasota, FL. maternal grandparents, Tom and Mary Lou Michelli, paternal grandparents, Charles and Joann Meritt, aunts and uncles, Lori and Mike Burkhart, Dale and Jeri Smith, Rodger and Marianne Michelli, Mark and Vickie Beetham, Jack and Janice Merritt, uncle, Todd Merritt aunt, Kim Groh and many cousins. Connor is also survived by his beloved pets Boo, Remi and BC. Connor was a Junior at Sequoyah High School. He played Freshman and JV baseball and prior to high school played ball at Hobgood Park in Woodstock. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed bowling on a league at Woodstock Lanes. He loved his dirt bike, four wheeler and most of all his Jeep Rubicon. Connor will be dearly missed by his Mom and Dad and entire family and his huge circle of friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock, Dr. Doug Thrasher officiating. Connor will lie in state from 2 until 3 PM at the church. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 5 until 9 PM at the Woodstock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to any Wachovia Bank, they will be used to support Sequoyah Baseball Boosters Club and Hobgood Park.
