Daniel was born on September 25, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Mr. John Niemczynski and Mrs. Stella Niemczynski. He is a graduate of Don Boscoe High School and College Graduate of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Daniel enlisted into the Army right out of high school as a paratrooper. On December 2nd, 1961 Daniel married Glynda, the love of his life, and started his family. He devoted himself as father and as a husband and for many years, working two to three jobs to support the family while working towards his Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering.
Daniel enjoyed doing handy man work around the house, watching sports, especially Wisconsin Badger football and the Green Bay Packers with his son. Daniel was always trying to show off his detailed do-it-yourself handy man fix it skills from fixing cars to home improvement.
Daniel Niemczynski was a man of strength, resilience, honesty, family, frugality, and stood up for what he believed in. The many descendants that bear his name, do so with those characteristics attached. Dan retired as Industrial Engineer amputee to become a full-time caregiver for Glynda until her loss to depression in 2016. Daniel found the inner strength to continue on with life, but refused any handouts. Dan was a hard-working man of self-determination who found joy in his great-grandchildren and would go to the end of his means to always make sure his family had what they needed.
Daniel died peacefully at home after two weeks of a painful struggle with an infection that he opted to not treat. This courageous man made the choice to give his life rather than seek an independence-robbing procedure. Although the failures of our healthcare system caused undue suffering in the last weeks of his life, his family spoke their final words and rallied together to ensure his dignified passing. Even with his medical complications from diabetes, he chose to sacrifice his life, so he could leave his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren a little bit better off in life than they are right now with whatever remaining assets he had left.
Daniel in his own hard headed way was a supportive, devoted, loving and kind husband and father who may not have known the best way to show his love, so he did it the only way he knew how, which was to save money and work multiple jobs to support his family.
He will be immensely missed by those who knew him.
