

Daniel Luke Stevenson, born on July 21, 1995, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 30. Luke was known for his strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, and love of the outdoors, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Luke’s early life was marked by a dedication to education and personal growth. He attended Etowah High School and later earned a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. While at Purdue, he was an active member of the Beta Sigma Psi fraternity and participated in the Purdue Electric Racing Club, where he further developed his passion for engineering and innovation.
Professionally, Luke worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Container Automation Systems. He was deeply involved in inventing, researching, designing, testing, and assembling new machine concepts. As Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, he played a significant role in the development of robotics manufacturing cells, automation machinery equipment, end-of-arm tooling, and safety and control systems used in bottle packaging automation. His work reflected both creativity and precision, and he applied for several patents during his career.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Luke found joy in the outdoors and hands-on creativity. He loved hiking, white-water rafting, kayaking, fishing, and golfing, and had a particular fascination with reptiles. He also enjoyed designing and building LEGO creations, a pastime that reflected his imaginative and mechanical mind. Luke’s curiosity, love of nature, and inventive spirit were evident in every part of his life. Luke was a devoted Christian and faithful follower of Jesus.
Luke is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert William and Nancy Ann Binger, and Thomas Butler Stevenson.
He is survived by his father, Mark Stevenson, his mother, Leslie Stevenson, his sister, Ariana Grace Stevenson, and his grandmother, Mary Snell Stevenson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia. A service for Luke will immediately follow at 4:00 PM in the Chapel at Woodstock Funeral Home.
