

Dan L. Cherrington died of heart failure on Thursday, June 19th at the age of 74. He was the son of the late Geraldine Jayne (Inman) Cherrington and the late William Charles Cherrington. He was born in Denver, CO and spent his early childhood in White Fish Bay, WI before moving with his parents to Port Elizabeth, South Africa where his father was Managing Director of Goodyear. While living and attending school in South Africa, Dan had the opportunity to travel the world with his parents and take a school-sponsored photographic safari through Kruger National Park. He then moved with his parents to Kingston, Jamaica before traveling on his own to Idaho Falls, Idaho to attend high school. After high school, Dan attended college at Beloit in WI and then moved to New York City to work for TWA, later transferring with TWA to Kansas City, MO. He made a home in Kansas City, living there for over 30 years where he met Susan, his wife of 38 years. Dan was a gifted chef and managed a successful website, KansasCityCooking.com, for over 10 years before he moved with his wife to Roswell, GA in 2004.Dan is survived by: his wife, Susan; his son, Zac Cherrington; his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Julie Cherrington; his niece and her husband, Jen and Justin Fuller and their son, Max Fuller.
