Dario Anthony Cardelli

March 2, 1937 – July 31, 2026

Dario Anthony Cardelli, age 89, known to family and friends as DAC, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

DAC was the architect of his family. He provided a solid foundation built on faith, family, and unwavering values, offering immeasurable guidance to his children, grandchildren, and the hundreds of friends and business colleagues whose lives he touched. His gift was the unique ability to meet people where they were in life's journey. He was a man of honor and integrity - qualities that never wavered.

Born on March 2, 1937, in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Henry and Viola Cardelli. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Lydia ("Lil") and Gloria. He graduated from Catholic Central High School and later earned his degree from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio.

DAC began his career with Retail Credit Company while serving his country in the United States Army Armored Brigade at Fort Knox, where he served as a tank commander. As Retail Credit Company evolved into Equifax, DAC advanced through a variety of leadership roles, ultimately serving as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He dedicated almost four decades to the company and became well known for one of his favorite sayings: "Press the flesh." To DAC, nothing could replace a face-to-face conversation. He believed relationships were built through personal connection, and that simple phrase perfectly captured the way he lived his life.

On July 25, 1959, DAC married the love of his life, Beanne. They shared nearly 67 wonderful years of marriage before God called her home in May 2026, only a few short weeks ago. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love, steadfast faith, and unwavering devotion to family. Together, they navigated life's joys and challenges, building a legacy grounded in love, faith, and commitment.

DAC was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Johnson; his son, Robert Cardelli, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer; and his cherished grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Cole, and Coen. He leaves behind countless treasured memories, timeless words of wisdom, and a legacy that will continue to guide those who loved him.

Outside of spending time with his family, DAC's favorite places were golf courses and the beach. An accomplished golfer, he was known not only for his skill but also for his ability to laugh at himself and never take the game - or himself - too seriously. Through golf, he formed lifelong friendships and positively impacted everyone fortunate enough to share a round with him. While he loved the camaraderie, he certainly didn't mind winning an occasional match.

DAC and Beanne also cherished traveling together with their family. Among their favorite destinations was the Dominican Republic, along with many other beautiful places that became the backdrop for treasured family memories.

DAC's legacy is one of love, faith, strength, humility, and selfless devotion to his family. He enriched the lives of everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and lovingly carried in the hearts of his family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Roswell, Georgia. Following the Mass a reception will be held at the church for family and friends to celebrate DAC’s life.
