David H. Carpenter

1939-2013

David H. Carpenter of Acworth, Georgia, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013.

Born in Kingston, Pennsylvania he was a 1957 graduate of the West Pittston High School. David

was also a graduate of St. Leo's College and Reinhardt College with a Bachelors Degree in

Psychology and Management.

David retired after 23 years of service in the United States Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer

and a member of the Fleet Reserve. He then worked for Emory University Hospital in

Facilities Management. David has resided in Acworth, Georgia with his wife Ginger

for the past 34 years.

David is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ginger, daughters Linda R.C Blanchard (Richard),

Metairie, La.; Carole Carpenter Gafa (Robert), Chesterfield, Mi.; sister Maryann Schaefer (Tom),

Baltimore, Md.; 4 granddaughters and 2 great-granddaughters.

A Full Honors Military Funeral Service will be held August 23, 2013 at the

National Cemetery in Canton at 11:00 a.m. from the Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia.
