No words can lighten the load of your loss.  Only God and His amazing love can handle that tremendous task.  I pray you feel His loving arms around you and the peace in your heart only He can give.   David and I grew up together in the same neighborhood in grade school. We played ball together every summer day.  We went our separate ways but he was never forgotten.     I pray for Gods peace for the entire Hooks family and everyone who loved him.  God bless you all.

David was a fine businessman and a great help to our team on events at The Coca-Cola Company. It was always a pleasure to work with him. He was honest, caring, knew his business and had a sense of humor, too! A good man....We will all miss him.

Heaven now has a very special angel.  I will never forget the wonderful baseball season that David gave our boys this year.  I will not forget all the talks and fellowship I shared with David and Terri and how they made me feel like a part of their family.  All our stories from this day forward will "have a few holes in them" without David. I love you and will miss you dearly my sweet, sweet friend.

David was a special man - a great father, son and husband. I'll miss his sweet smile. He was a shining example of what it means to be a servant of Christ. He touched so many lives. I know he's looking down on us from heaven right now - feeling none of the pain and suffering of this life. Thank you, David, for everything you meant to all of us. Rest in peace. I love you.

Thanks to all of you for your expressions of love for David and his memory. My consolation in losing him is that he had so many friends and helped so many people.

Reading all of the messages shows what a fine man David grew to be.  I know David in our high school years and he was a great person!  RIP my friend!

David and I grew up together in Macon. We knew each other from the time we were about five years old. I have many fond memories of times David and I shared together (school, baseball, church, summer camps at Epworth, vacations together at Fontana, NC & Panama City, FL).

David was a good friend and will be missed even though we didn't have much contact other than high school reunions.

Dear Family,  I was very sorry to hear of David's passing.  Although I didn't have much contact with him after high school, I remember those days fondly.  You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I played little league baseball with David---I think we were on the Indians team---he lived 3 houses down from me on Cambridge Dr---we went to Willingham together---I haven't seen him in long long time---but,he was a real good guy----lot of fond memories..

I will always remember helping David with spotting so that he could announce the Etowah Jr. Eagles football games. I enjoyed the fellowship and laughter we shared. I also really enjoyed our trip to Robert Trent Jones Golf in Auburn/Opelika. David was a wonderful man and I am truly honored to have known him. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.
