Deborah Lynn Smith

Born on January 22, 1952, in Hampton, Georgia, Debbie was a cherished member of her community and beloved by all who knew her.

Debbie was known for her big heart, her generous spirit, and her unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. She had a vibrant personality, a fun-loving nature, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. Her laugh was unforgettable — joyful, contagious, and uniquely hers. She gave the kind of hugs that could comfort the soul, and her presence brought warmth and joy to countless lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cread Henry Smith and Mary Hickman Smith, and her brother, David Smith.

Debbie is survived by her sister-in-law, Cathy Smith; her niece, Michelle Smith; and her nephew, David Smith and his family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Deborah’s memory, just as she so often gave to others.
